Martin Bissett is the founder of the Upward Spiral Partnership, the U.K.-based consulting firm that specializes in the implementation of professional selling skills and leadership development for senior managers in the accounting profession.
He has worked with several hundred accounting firms internationally to grow their gross recurring fee bases.
He is engaged by his clients to transfer skills to their practice, often in business development disciplines, via personal demonstration, training, consulting, coaching, mentoring and research content.
The outcome of this work is new business for the practices, alongside the fine-tuning of teams of partners and emerging leaders who can create and close new opportunities for themselves, without significant third party assistance.
Previously, Martin served 10 years on the board of a marketing consultancy firm serving the accounting profession. There, he held the responsibility for the growth of the client base including six of the U.K.’s top 30 accountancy firms.
He now consults with accounting firms worldwide and is the author of ‘Winning Your First Client’, ‘Passport to Partnership’ and ‘Business Development On A Budget’ amongst other titles.
